Connie Sue Farmer, 66 died Friday January 10, 2020 at Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, Georgia.
A Celebration of her life will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, January 14, 2020 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Dr. James Troglen, Dr. Keith McLeod and Mr. Mike Gaymon officiating. Interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery and visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907.
Connie was born March 5, 1953 in Winchester, Tennessee daughter of Benjamin Russell and Clara Yates Russell of Columbus. She was Executive Director of Trillium Village Assisted Living before she retired. She loved to travel and spend time with her grandchildren. She was a longtime member of Wynnbrook Baptist Church and now attends Cascade Hills Church. Her first husband Charles Dale Farmer preceded her in death.
Other than her parents she is survived by her husband Richard "Rick" McLeod of Columbus, Ga., daughters Stephanie Campbell (Kenny Gleaton) of Juliette, Ga., Sonya Whitmer (George, Jr.) of Salem Al., stepchildren Ricki Lynn Huggin (Kevin) of Auburn, Al., Alisa Recio (Jason) of Easley, SC., Chad McLeod (Chrissy) of South Korea, sisters Pam Woodard (Mike) of Pine Mountain, Ga., Michelle Russell (Roger) of Phenix City, Al., brother Mike Finney (Peggy) of Phenix City, Al., eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
