Funeral services with Columbus Police Department Honors will be held 2:00 PM Monday, March 13, 2023 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Buddy Lamb officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Officer Marr was born August 11,1994 in Ft. Hood, Texas son of John J. and Cynthia M Marr of Cumming, Georgia. He was a 2014 graduate of Spencer High School, an avid reader and a member of Schomburg Road Baptist Church. Officer Marr began his career in law enforcement in 2016 and was currently assigned to the patrol division of the Columbus Police Department.

Officer Marr was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lewis Mills and John P. and Victoria Marr.

Survivors other than his parents, John and Cynthia include his siblings; Kate Ahn (Wooseok), Anneliese Marr, Phoebe Marr and Sam Marr all of Cumming, GA, maternal grandmother, Janice Mills and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
