Clinton Woods, 71, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Muscogee Manor Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 13, 2012 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Dr. Tommy Bradford and Dr. Eddie Shumate officiating. A private interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery according to the funeral home.
Mr. Woods was born January 20, 1941 in Metter, GA son of the late Dink and Maxie Collins Woods. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and later worked at Scott Bridge Company.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Melba Gail Pope Woods of Columbus, GA, sons, Clinton Daniel Woods (Karen) of Columbus, GA and Marty Lynn Woods of Bowman, GA, daughter, Stephanie Woods Shiver (Clarke) of Columbus, GA, brothers, Leonard Woods of Statesboro, GA, Rayford Woods of Austell, GA and Wayne Woods (Rhonda) of Bremen, GA, sister, Jean McLamb of Millen, GA, grandchildren, Laney, Jacob, and Zachary Woods of Columbus, GA, Hope and Trey Shiver of Columbus, GA, Tiffany Smith of Brunswick, GA and Ashley Woods of Bowman, GA, and three great grandchildren all of Brunswick, GA.
