Clinton Junior Johnson, 87, of Columbus, GA died Sunday, January 24, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Johnson was born September 21, 1928 in Yellow Creek, N.C. son of the late Charlie and Dora Moore Johnson. He retired as a Ranger from the U.S. Army and Air Force where he served in the Korean Conflict and received the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and Silver Star. Mr. Johnson later owned a TV sales, as well as other sales. He was Baptist by faith.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Kate Johnson, brother, Glenford Johnson, and sister, Marie Johnson.
Survivors include his partner of 31 years, Janet Baskin of Columbus, GA, step-children, Sherry Baskin and Brandi Valentine both of Columbus, GA, siblings, Ronnie Johnson of Florida, Tom Johnson (Joyce) of South Carolina, Mary McGuire and Inez Dotson both of North Carolina, and step-grandchildren, Joshua Toland and Brianna Valentine.
