Claude Eugene McDaniel, 78, of Columbus, GA died Sunday, September 12, 2010 at Muscogee Manor Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. McDaniel was born November 2, 1931 in Schley County, GA son of the late James W. and Louise Weed McDaniel. He retired as the owner of McDaniel Flooring Company.
Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte Pope (Dan) of Fortson, GA and Brenda Smith (Charlie) of Navarra Beach, FL, one son, Glenn McDaniel (Melinda) of Columbus, GA, eight grandchildren, Ricky Stone (Alissa), Jason Stone (Tina), Chris McDaniel (Bonita), Tina McDaniel, Brandon McDaniel, Joshua Smith (Cassie), Nicholas Smith and Tiffany Leach (Jerry), sixteen great grandchildren, and his former loving spouse, Betty Cosby of Columbus, GA.
