Clarence Burrell Hindsman, 62, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2011 in Newberry, FL.
Mr. Hindsman was born June 6, 1948 in Columbus, GA. He graduated from Columbus High School and attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) in Tifton, GA. He was raised Presbyterian and loved the Lord. His education enabled him to work as a Forest Ranger in the states of Georgia, Florida and Mississippi and he used his God given artistic talent as a Mechanical Draftsman in the same three states. His love of the outdoors was shown in his pen and ink renderings of wildlife and his love and passion for horses. In the 1970's he was invited to show his work in Paris. Some of his art is on display in the Taylor County, FL library. Because of his health, he retired in 2009 and was blessed to be able to live in the home of his daughter in Newberry, FL.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Leonard Walker Hindsman, Sr. and Annie Laurie Smith Hindsman.
He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Ilene Hindsman of Newberry, FL, son, Clarence Burrell Hindsman, Jr. (Jamie) of Midland, MI, a brother, Leonard Walker Hindsman, Jr. (Peggy) of Macon, GA and two sisters, Ann Hindsman Fuller of Columbus, GA and Susan Hindsman Tillman (Charlie) of Fortson, GA, six grandchildren, Joseph Johnson, Jarod and Breanna Ingram all of Newberry, FL and Shelby Krenz, Lillian and Trenton Hindsman all of Midland, MI, and many nieces and nephews.
A "Celebration of Life" service will be held Sunday, March 20, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. EST at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with visitation immediately following the service with Pastor Hank Reeves officiating. Since the interment will be held at a later date, we respectfully request instead the flowers, memorials may be made to Begin Again Farms Equine Shelter P.O.
