Clara M. Lane, 78, of Columbus died Friday, October 7, 2011 at Columbus Hospice House.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Is Mael Valle officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA.
Mrs. Lane was born January 26, 1933 in Wedowee, AL daughter of the late Minnie Bolt Duffie and Henry Duffie. She worked in production at Sunshine Biscuits and attended Oasis Christian Center in Phenix City.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph E. Lane and three grandchildren, Douglas Wayne Bruce, Jr, Billy Joe Humphrey and Tammy Lynn Bruce.
Survivors include her daughters, Betty J. Carden (Kenneth) of Phenix City, AL and Jean McBride (Jerry) of Opelika, AL; grandchildren, Sharon Treadway Smith and Ira Joe Bruner and great grandchildren, Madison, Justin, Tyler and Robbie.
