Clara D. Cox, 82 of Phenix City died Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital.
Graveside services will be held 10:30 A.M., Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Parkhill Cemetery with Rev. Jeremy Greene officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 till 8 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home, 613 14th St. Phenix City, AL.
Mrs. Cox was June 15, 1928 in Cookeville, TN daughter of the late Eva and Sam Meadows. She had worked for Swift Textiles as a spinner and was a member of Broad Street Church of Christ. She loved to make quilts and collect stuff animals especially bears. She was preceded in death by her husband William S. Cox.
Survivors include her sons, Ricky Cox (Norma) of Phenix City, AL and Lee Dyer of Columbus, GA; daughters, Clara Canant of Englewood, CO, Patricia Johnson of Fortson, GA and Michelle McCloud (Brian) of Washington, DC; seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
