Christine H. Davis, 85 of Phenix City, AL died Sunday, July 15, 2012 at the Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ray Cummings officiating. A private interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, 613 14th St. Phenix City, AL.
Mrs. Davis was born July 23, 1926 in Tallassee, AL daughter of the late Arthur L. Hood and Mary Lizzy Hood. She worked as a dental assistant for the office of Dr. Binns and retired after 10 years from the Russell County Board of Education as a secretary in the Transportation Division. She was a member of Golden Acres Baptist Church. She loved life, her family, and friends. Playing canasta was one of her favorite passtimes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Comer Wade Davis.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda K. Lewis (Joey B.) of Phenix City, AL; step-son, Phil Davis (Vickie) of Atlanta, GA; sister, Nadine Smith of Opelika, AL; granddaughter, Kimberly K. Gibbs of Smiths Station, AL; great granddaughter, Skyler Guest (Tyler C.) of Mobile, AL and many nieces and nephews.
