Christa A. Short, 83, of Waverly Hall, GA died Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital.
The family will receive friends Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Short was born May 6, 1934 in Celle, Germany daughter of the late Otto Mei and Klara Schoschies. She worked in accounting at Smith and Nephew. Mrs. Short loved gardening and working in the yard. She also was a spirited and honest person.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Denver O. Short, son, Billy Short and grandson, Denver A. Short.
Survivors include her children, Christine Smith (Jerry) of Waverly Hall, GA, Daniela Brooks (Steven) of LaGrange, GA, John Short of Waverly Hall, GA, Mary Ziegler (Alan) of Columbus, GA, Danny Short (Connie) of Pine Mountain, GA and Robert J. Short (Freda) of Freeport, FL, 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, the Heblich Family and the Gätdka Family both in Celle, Germany.
