Cheryl Ann Greene, 54, of Columbus, GA passed away while surrounded by her family on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Vista Care at Franciscan Woods after a brave battle against cancer.
Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Reverend Thomas Pope officiating. The family will receive friends following the chapel service. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Avondale Baptist Church Cemetery in Macon, GA.
Ms. Greene was born June 29, 1956 in Savannah, GA daughter of the late Louis Francis Stinson and Florence Jackson Coppock. She retired after 24 years as a bank teller for CB&T and later enjoyed being a homemaker. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Columbus, GA where she was a member of WMU. She was an encouraging mother, a devoted daughter, a delightful sister, an adoring grandmother, and a rolemodel of hope, love, and faith to everyone she met.
Survivors include her son, Travis Austin Sapp (Christine) of Raleigh, NC, sister, Debra Burt (Gwen) of Monroe, GA, brothers, Donald Stinson (Phylis) of Macon, GA and Terry Stinson (Liz) of Warner Robins, GA, two granddaughters, Maeve Sapp and Miriam Sapp, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial donations to Vista Care at Franciscan Woods 2425 Williams Rd. Columbus, GA 31909.
