Charlotte Ann Chestnut, 72, of Columbus, GA, died Sunday, November 23, 2014 at her residence.
Graveside Services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery according to McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Chestnut was born September 21, 1942 in Aberdeen, MD, daughter of the late Augustus Styer and Charlotte McCarden. She was a clerk with the Civil Service in the United States Army and worked with the Shriners for many years. Mrs. Chestnut was a wonderful, loving, thoughtful, and caring person. She was a devoted mother and a caring wife.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Massey Lee Chestnut, Jr.
Survivors include her sons, David A. Chestnut (Ann) and Christopher Chestnut; sister-in-law, Jane Lacey; granddaughter, Sara Heath (Alex); loving caregivers and friends, Denese Wallace and Rhonda Boutwell; her family in Aberdeen, Maryland; brothers, William Styer (Evelyn), Charles Styer, John L. Styer (Glenys), Donald E. Styer (Mary); and sister, Ruth Greenhill; many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Columbus Hospice House, 7020 Moon Road Columbus, GA 31907.
