Charlie "Albert" Cook, 80, of Box Springs, GA, died Thursday, March 5, 2015 at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Geneva Baptist Church, 25 Magnolia Street, Geneva, GA with Rev. John Sheeley and Rev. Charles Carter officiating. Interment will be held in Geneva City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00-3:00 PM at the church according to McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Cook was born January 21, 1935 in Box Springs, GA, son of the late Luke Benjamin Cook and Alma Lee Adams Cook. He was a member of Geneva Baptist Church, a 50 year Mason with Hiram #21 Masonic Lodge, and was a retired carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Lee Cook of Box Springs, GA; son, Kenneth Meachem (Nancy) of Talbotton, GA; 3 brothers, Ben Cook of Forsyth, GA, Ronny Cook of Omaha, GA, and Johnny Cook of Phoenix, AZ; sister, Dorothy Self of Warm Springs, GA; 3 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
Flowers will be accepted, but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to Geneva Baptist Church, P.O. Box 80 Geneva, GA 31810.
