Charles (Chuck) Ferrell Stevenson, 66, of Columbus, GA passed away suddenly on December 16, 2019. Chuck was born on September 17, 1953 in Philadelphia, PA and grew up in Bethesda, MD. He was the third of 5 children of the late George Andrew and Rita Rose (Badaracco) Stevenson. Chuck was preceded in death by his loving wife of 31 years, Georgia C. Brown, the love of his life, who passed away on March 26, 2019 after a long battle with breast cancer. He was also predeceased by his brother Stephen J. Stevenson of Cumberland, MD. Chuck's faithful dog Picci, a Dachshund-lab mix, remained by his side until the end. Chuck was a 1971 graduate of St. John's College High School in Washington DC. He was an accomplished golfer, winning many local tournaments as a teen in the Washington area, and attended Clemson University on a golf scholarship. He was founder and co-owner together with Georgia of Stevenson's Enterprises, Inc., a manufacturer of institutional and commercial millwork originally based in Rockville, MD. In 1998, Chuck and Georgia re-located their home and business to Columbus where Georgia grew up. He was an expert craftsman and highly sought after for his cabinetry skills. Chuck was an avid cook and exceled at bread making. He pursued his hobbies and work with passion, artistry, and perfection. He and Georgia enjoyed entertaining family and friends and travel, especially to Key West, where they spent their honeymoon and celebrated many anniversaries. Chuck was a soft spoken, modest, gentle, and kind person. He was an extremely caring husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Chuck is survived by his brothers George A. Stevenson(Melanie) of Bella Vista, AR and John E. Stevenson(Ann) of Albuquerque, NM; sister, Mary M.
