Charles Alfred Rossi, Jr. 87, of Cataula, Georgia died Friday, September 23, 2016 at Columbus Hospice House. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Cornerstone Baptist Church 16117 Ga Hwy 315 Ellerslie, Ga. 31807 with Dr. Tommy Henschel and Rev. David Howle officiating. Interment with Air Force Honors will be held in Parkhill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, September 26, 2016 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA.
Mr. Rossi was born February 27, 1929 in Holly Hill, FL, son of the late Charles A. Rossi, Sr. and Nannie H. Rossi. He found his greatest enjoyment being with family, especially sharing time with his sweet wife of 57 years, Lillian. Mr. Rossi was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and retired from insurance sales where he served his customers with personal attention and continued serving others and his Lord and Savior. He enjoyed working in his yard and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. Other than his parents, Mr. Rossi was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Kipp.
Survivors include his wife Lillian Smith Rossi of Cataula, GA; son Charles A. Rossi, III (Dana) of Columbus, GA; daughter Sandi Dunaway (Brian) of Phenix City, AL; daughter Lisa Rossi of Cataula, GA; grandchildren Catherine Reynolds (Justin), Charles Rossi, IV, Matthew Rossi, Michael Rossi, Heather Rossi, Brooke Dunaway; great grandchildren Hallie Reynolds and Harper Reynolds.
