Charles D. Raines, 93, died peacefully on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital.
A private service for the family will be held Tuesday, November 28, 2023 with Dr. Kevin Calhoun officiating according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Raines was born March 28, 1930 in Columbus, Georgia, son of the late Leonard H. Raines and Lillian Green Raines. He retired from Plicon as a Research & Development Consultant after 30 years of service. He was a member of Wynnbrook Baptist Church
Survivors include his wife, Frances Trippe Raines of Columbus, Georgia; two children, Kathy Hale of Columbus and Scott Raines of Fort Lauderdale, Fla, two grandchildren, Trippe Hale (Adella) of Las Vegas, NV and Carson Hale (Amber) of Auburn, Ala. Two great grandchildren, Mila Hale (Las Vegas, NV) and Parker Hale (Auburn, Ala)
The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at St. Francis and Piedmont Encompass Health for their excellent care.
