Charles Augustus “Chuck” Gradic, Iii

Charles Augustus “Chuck” Gradic III, 68, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 16, 2023 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. The family will receive friends following the service.

Chuck was born on February 20, 1955 in Columbus, GA, son of the late Charles Augustus Gradic Jr. and Lois Webster Gradic. Chuck worked as an auto mechanic most of his life and as a car enthusiast; he was doing what he loved. There was little he wouldn't work on.

He was a good friend to all and had many friends in return, some who he had known since childhood. He loved socializing and he never hesitated to help someone in need.

Chuck was an avid racing fan. He enjoyed racing of all types including Road Racing, Formula One, and Nascar. He also loved golf and football, namely the Georgia Bulldogs.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two of his best friends, Dee Aaron and Greg Bradshaw.

Survivors include his son, Charles Augustus “Chaz” Gradic IV and his mother, Cindy Gunter both of Columbus, GA; fiancé, Rhonda Turner of Columbus, GA; sister, Laura Petrey (Mike) of Columbus, GA; his best friend Rusty Bradshaw of Columbus, GA, and numerous other family members, friends, and his beloved German Shepherd “Ruger”.
