Charles Kojo Frimpong, 60, of Midland, GA was ushered into heaven on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at Emory University Hospital.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, January 18, 2021, at Parkhill Cemetery with Pastor Wayne D. Baker officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 PM Sunday, January 17, 2021, at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Charles was born on September 22, 1960, in Tema, Ghana to Paul and Regina Nketiah Frimpong. He was married to Stella Frimpong and left behind four children, two boys, Charles, Jr. and Solomon, and two girls, Paulette and Morne.
Charles was a man of many things: a steward in the church, a soccer coach to the youth, and a strong foundation for his family. He observed much and spoke very little to pierce the hearts of men. He was a valiant, brave - “no-nonsense” man to be feared with a giving heart. Charles always made sure that his children had a strong foundation in Christ first, education, and soccer. He loved mentoring youth and always believed in disciplining them for a better future. Charles loved with a pure heart and was willing to sacrifice his time and energy for those in need. At home as a dad, he always kept everyone’s spirits high and helped his family grow in the Lord through music, dance, and daily devotion. He will forever be remembered in our hearts
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Spirit Filled Ministries or Columbus Youth Soccer Complex. In keeping with the efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19, face coverings and social distancing will be required during the graveside service and visitation.
