Charles Brooks Forlines, 75, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at his residence in Columbus, GA.
A service will be held at a later date according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Charles was born November 7, 1944 in Columbus, GA to the late Charles Edward Forlines and Ella Brooks Forlines. He graduated from Columbus High School in 1962 and served in the U.S. Navy from 1963-1967. He was a top secret Cryptographic Security clearance and a communication technician 2nd Class. He served in San Diego, CA, Pensacola, FL, San Juan, Puerto Rico and abroad the USS Liberty which patrolled the West Coast of Africa. He attended Columbus College and graduated from the University of Georgia in 1970 with a BBA in accounting. He worked at UPS as a supervisor and manager for ten years and was in the food service purchasing industry for over 20 years for Valley Produce and Auten Food Service.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Catherine "Cathy" Forlines of Columbus, GA, sons, Alan Forlines (Cary) of Dayton, OH, Jon Forlines (Francis) of Columbus, GA, Jason Forlines (Wanda) of Raleigh, NC, daughter, Laura Fitzgerald of Atlanta, GA, sister, Jan Attaway (Jay) of Columbus, GA, grandchildren Daniel, Joseph, Michaela and Ava.
