Charles "Wesley" Florence, 61, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday May 26, 2021 at Piedmont Midtown.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, May 29, 2021 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Mr. Nick Page officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM before the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Charles was born December 22, 1959 in Columbus, GA to Bartow Florence and Betty DeBardelaben Patterson. He loved all kinds of sports, music, was an avid Coke collector and a member of Evangel Temple. Charles was well known for his humor and was the “Funny Guy”.
He is survived by his sisters, Jean McDermont (Kevin) of Cartersville, GA, Stella Young (Patrick) of Carrolton, GA, brothers, Bart Florence (Kathleen Paradise) of Val Rico, FL, nieces, Angie Boyd, Tracy Cavanaugh, Brenda Lavesque, Deven Joglar, nephews, Jason Young, Ryan McDermont, Will Florence, special friend, Dana Whaley of Phenix City, AL, and numerous other family members.
