Charles "Chuck" Strickland

Charles L. “Chuck” Strickland, Jr, 68, of Columbus, GA, died Saturday, March 16, 2024 at his residence. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Parkhill Cemetery with Chaplain Greg Garner officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 PM Wednesday, March 20, 20214 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Chuck was born November 21, 1955 in Columbus, GA son of the late Charles L. Strickland, Sr. and Renvia Youngblood Strickland.

Chuck was the owner/operator of Strickland Plumbing before falling ill to Cancer. He was a Nascar fan and had a love for speed himself. He drove a race car sponsored by Strickland Plumbing in the early 80’s. When college football season came around his eyes were set on the Georgia Bulldogs.

Chuck loved spending time with his family and friends, always being the life of the party.

Survivors include his siblings, Larry Strickland (Barbara) of Columbus, GA, Brenda Davis (Tommy) of Seale, AL; step-children, Nicky Mellinger (Charles) of Lagrange, GA, Jennifer Garner (Greg) of Pine Mountain, GA, Christopher Ogle (Maigen) of Manchester, GA; numerous nieces, nephews, other family; wonderful friends, Chuck Morelock of Columbus, GA, and Janet Brewer of Columbus, GA.
