Charlene Denise Barringer, 58, of Columbus, GA died Saturday, March 31, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Mike Benson officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, April 2, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA.
Mrs. Barringer was born February 17, 1954 in Johnson City, New York daughter of the late Charles Edward Dorsett and Mrytle Clarke Dorsett. She worked as a billing clerk for Columbus Diagnostic Center and was a member of Striplin Terrace United Methodist Church. She was also a Columbus Cottonmouths fan for over 15 years.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Dorsett and her sister, Joyce Chester.
Survivors include her husband, William "Bill" Barringer of Columbus, GA; daughter, Renee Barringer of Cusseta, GA; son, Charles Barringer (Maria) of Ft. Gordon, GA; grandchildren, Wyatt Barringer, Aiden Barringer, Mark Ivanchenko, Aleksandr Barringer, Courtney Wilson and Hunter Wilson; and several nieces and nephews.
