Celia Turner Williams Haymon, 94, of Columbus, GA died Monday, March 14, 2011 at Warm Springs Nursing Home in Warm Springs, GA.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2011 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Charles P. Watkins officiating. A private interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Haymon was born February 22, 1917 in Wicksburg, AL daughter of the late Charles C. and Lena Watkins Turner. She worked as a Nutrition Case Worker at the University of Georgia Extension Service and was a member of Pilgram Home Baptist Church of Wicksburg, AL.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Williams, her second husband, Arnold W. Haymon, and her brothers, C.G. Turner and William M. Turner.
Survivors include her daughters, Romayne Williams Lloyd (Bobby) of Warm Springs, GA and Kay Williams Brock (Tony) of Cumming, GA, step daughter, June Haymon Johnson (John) of Macon, GA, sister, Sybil Haggard of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, Betsy L. Reiter (Joe) of Woodbury, GA, Ginger L. Markham (Brian) of Columbus, GA, Beth Brock Haren (Reese) of Cumming, GA and Heather Brock Griffin (Eric) of Cumming, GA, great grandchildren, Rebekah Adair and Noah Adair of Woodbury, GA, Sydney Haren of Cumming, GA, Romi Markham and Rachel Markham of Columbus, GA and Matthew and Katie Griffin of Cumming, GA, and several nieces and nephews.
