Carolyn Holder Thompson, 73, of Columbus, GA, died Friday, November 4, 2016 at Midtown Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be held 12:00 PM, Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Andy Buchanon officiating. A private interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11:00-12:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thompson was born November 27, 1942 in Montevallo, AL, daughter of the late John Holder and Geraldine Ward Holder. She Volunteered at Pine Mountain Welcome Center and worked 3,000 hours at St. Francis Hospital as a Pink Lady. Mrs. Thompson was a homemaker and a Baptist by Faith.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Lewis Thompson and sister, Sue Meade.
Survivors include her sons, Skip Thompson (Jennifer) of Columbus, GA and Steve Thompson all of Columbus, GA and Scott Thompson (Michelle) of LaGrange, GA; sister, Juanita Hinson of Atlanta, GA; and grandchildren, Brannon and Cole Thompson and Zack and Zoe Thompson.
