Carolyn C. Lang, 78, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, June 29, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, July 3, 2017 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. David Howle and Rev. Andy Merritt officiating. A private interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lang was born August 19, 1938 in Guntersville, AL daughter of the late Eulin Cornelius and Ada Bell Barnard Cornelius. She worked for 30 years as a Crossing Guard in Muscogee County and later was a homemaker. Mrs. Lang was also a member of Edgewood Baptist Church.
She was a great mother, loved her family, talking to her friends on the phone and loved her Lord.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lang.
Survivors include her sons, Greg Lang (Janet) of Midland, GA, Michael Lang (Tracy) of Canton, GA, Thomas Lang (Isabella) of Dupont, WA and Steven Lang (Cindy) of Columbus, GA, brother, Ray Cornelius of Gunnersville, AL, 9 grandchildren, Ryan, Matthew, Donovan, Jacob, David, Tiffany, Jennifer, Heather and Dnaielle, and 5 great grandchildren, Harlynn, Brantley, Wyatt, Noah and Alex.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to Edgewood Baptist Church 3564 Forrest Rd. Columbus, GA 31907.
