Carolyn Rhunette Gilbert, 81, of Columbus, GA, died Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Gentiva Hospice.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 4, 2015 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Dr. Jimmy Elder officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Ms. Gilbert was born May 20, 1933 in Columbus, GA, daughter of the late Fred S. Osteen and Mamie O. Cornett Osteen. She retired as a secretary for Columbus State University and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mamie McCuiston.
Survivors include her sons, Richard Dean "Ricky" Gilbert and Thomas R. "Rusty" Gilbert (Cooki) both of Columbus, GA; daughter, Melissa Ann "Lisa" Wahl (Al) of North Carolina; sister, Margaret Ann Beasley of South Carolina; and six grandchildren.
