Carolyn Annette Dushane

Carolyn Annette Ritch Dawson (Connie) DuShane, 88, entered her eternal rest peacefully on Thursday, October 31, 2024, in Warm Springs, Georgia. She was born June 6, 1936, in Murphy, North Carolina.

A memorial service will be held 10:30 AM, Monday, November 4, 2024 at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Ellerslie, Georgia. Reverend James Friberg will officiate the service.

Connie served in the Air Force for 3 years, then moved to Florida where she had a career with Bank of America. There she met Bud and they moved to Ohio where they enjoyed 21 years of marriage until his death. She later moved to Georgia where she faithfully attended Cornerstone Baptist Church. There she met her second husband, Duke, and they celebrated their third wedding anniversary this year. She loved the Lord, singing, and was a member of the Sweet Adalines in her early years. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 10558, Cataula, Georgia.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, William Chester Ritch and Anna Mae Gibson Ritch, as well as her siblings, Jack Ritch, John Ritch, Alvin Ritch, Lois Gerard, and Margaret Angell. She was also preceded in death by her second husband Cyrille (Duke) DuShane.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews, the DuShane family, and friends at Cornerstone Baptist Church.
