Caroline Mazzocca von Kleydorff passed away on August 16, 2018 at her home in Columbus, Georgia, in the loving care of her family.

Born in Arlington, Massachusetts in 1927, she was the fourth of eight children of Gus and Lucy Mazzocca. She was a gifted musician on the piano, flute, and a prodigy harpist who studied at the Julliard School of Music under Marcel Grandjany. While raising her family in Wilton, Connecticut she was an accomplished realtor as well as an active member of The National Organization for Women and was a feminist in the Arts.

She was fortunate to have travelled the world in her early years. An extraordinary cook, she enjoyed preparing elaborate meals for her family, and could light up any room with her wit, charm, and infectious laugh.

Caroline was a guiding light to her four children, Anita Angelica of Columbus, GA., Alexander Eberhardt of Stratford, CT., Axel Joachim of Lakewood, CO., and Andrew Augustus of Smyrna, GA., and was an adoring grandmother to her five grandchildren, Jessica Heye, Ingrid Isabella, Meredith Blair, Konrad Mathias Emil, and Heidi Elizabeth. She is also survived by three of her siblings, Norma Marshall, Mary Ann Keay, and Gus Mazzocca. She was preceded in death by sister Lucille Zelinski, and half-sisters Malvina Colozzi, Helena Puorro, and Janice D'Orlando.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
