Carol Ann Watson Shearer, 75, of Columbus, GA died Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Midtown Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Ronald Chaney officiating. A private family interment will be held at Riverdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Ms. Shearer was born February 23, 1941 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late Jack Clarence Watson and Leona Louise Newsome Watson. She spent her last years being a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Watson, sister, Ellen Sanders, son, Jeff Brewer and great grandchild, Serahni Harper Phillips.
Survivors include her daughters, Leslie Schaaf (Avery Edwards) and Leigh Ann Harper (Jack Basham), sister, Mary Helen McBride (Gene), cousin, Emily McRae, daughter-in-law, Janet Brewer, grandchildren, Kyndal, Blayne, Wister, Paden, Blair, Bethany, Bryson, Jed and Jason, great grandchildren, Skyleigh, Brock, Wyatt and Gracie.
