Carol T. Rebidue, age 80, resident of Pine Mountian, Ga went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Saint Francis Heart Hospital in Columbus, GA.
MeMorial Services will be held Monday, March 16, 2015 at 11 AM at Christ the King Church, 6700 Georgia 354, Pine Mountain, GA 31822. There will be a Rosary 5 PM Sunday evening at the funeral home with visitation to follow, according to McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Rebidue was born on January 16, 1935 to her late parents Edith T. and Henry J. Guinette in Worcester, MA., where she married Richard D. Rebidue on June 6, 1953. In support of her husband's career, in the US Army, Carol and her family moved to Georgia in 1961 where they were stationed at Ft. Benning. Upon SFC Richard Rebidue's retirement from the US Army, they made Georgia their home. She worked as a customer service representative at J.C. Penney, where she retired after 20 years of service. Mrs. Rebidue was an active member of Christ The King Catholic Church in Pine Mountian, GA. Carol was an inspirational woman who touched the lives of many. Those who knew her would tell you that she was a soft spoken Angel here on earth. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Carol is survived by her husband, of 61 years, Richard D. Rebidue; her daughter Kathleen Stewart (Mike), her son Chris Rebidue (Janet), her son Mathieu Rebidue (Melanie), her daughter Kimberly Rebidue, 9 grandchildren: Traci Modlin (Eric) , April Henderson (Kenneth), Christy Marvets (David), Lindsey Hammer (Joesph), Angela Young (Carl), Catina Vaughan (Kevin), Melissa Wall (Steve), Lindsy Taylor (Tim), Adam Gregory (Lisa), and Peyton Rebidue, 18 great-grandchildren: Chancey Jessalyn, Jordan, Ashlyn, Reeves, Jacob, Makynzie, Hannah, Tripp, Anne Hensley, Catherine Page, Maggie, Declan, Ellie, Kennedy, Avery, Greyson, Micah, Heather Brooke, and her brother Gordan Guinette (Julie). Carol also leaves behind her beloved and faithful dog Buffiesue.
