Byrl T. Slaughter 77, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, September 20, 2018 at his residence.
A Graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA. 31907 with Chief Mark Burnette officiating. Fireman honors will conclude the service.
Bryl T. Slaughter was born February 11, 1941 in Columbus, GA. son of Thomas Edward Slaughter and Doris McMichael Slaughter. He retired from the Columbus Fire Department after serving 25 years. He had a love for fishing as well as taking care of his wife, Alice Cotton Slaughter for 10 years after she became unable to care for herself until her death in 2014. They were married for 46 years.
Survivors include; his son, Stephen Slaughter (Jennifer) of Columbus, GA.; grandchildren; Aryana Slaughter of Columbus, GA; Ethan Slaughter of Columbus, GA; REL Phillips of Montgomery, AL and numerous other family members.
