Brunhilde Nance, 80, of Columbus, GA died Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend David Howle and Reverend Andy Merritt officiating. Private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Nance was born March 17, 1930 in Germany daughter of the late Ernst and Mina Mauch Striegel. She was a homemaker and a member of Edgewood Baptist Church.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Nance, and her siblings, Herbert Striegel, Wolfgang Striegel, Liesl Bauer, and Hans Striegel.
Survivors include her children, Mark Nance of Columbus, GA, Jerry Nance (Sandra) of Smiths, AL, James R. Nance of Mesa, AZ, Karin L. Nance of Phenix City, AL and Cathy Howard of Charlotte, NC, eight grandchildren, Brent, James, Emily Nance, Jessica and Karin Howard, and Nichole, Cera and Rebecca Nance, and three great grandchildren, Dallas and Blake Nance, and Chloe Nance Miller.
