Brock Henry Martin

Brock Henry Martin, 26, of Midland, GA died Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Sumter Medical Center.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, June 17, 2024 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremy Johnson and Dr. Kevin Calhoun officiating, with live music by Garrett Jimmerson. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held following the service at Parkhill Cemetery.

Brock was born August 15, 1997 in Columbus, GA son of Michael Keith Martin and Lisa Ann Casciaro.

He was a 2015 Hardaway High School graduate, where he played the viola and was first chair for the orchestra. He also lettered in soccer his freshman year. Brock was enthusiastic about the sport and continued to stay involved through adulthood as he coached travel soccer for his childhood club, RedStar. Not only did he coach, but he also mentored young boys from ages 15-16 years old.

Brock was employed at Piedmont Columbus Midtown where he worked as a Patient Transporter. He was also training in the ER to become a Patient Care Technician. Brock always had a passion for working with people and developed an amazing community of co-workers and friends at the hospital. There is no doubt that his light will leave an everlasting presence in the lives he touched.

Brock was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frankie and Henry Caro and aunt, Rita Caro-Steinbook. Survivors include his mother, Lisa Casciaro (Gene) of Midland, GA; father, Mike Martin of Phenix City, AL; siblings, Connor Martin and Mallory Martin both of Atlanta, GA; grandparent, Shirley Stanley of Phenix City, AL and numerous other family and friends.
