Brian Donovan Parish, 37, resident of Columbus, GA died Sunday, June 30, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date according to McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Brian Parish, son of the late James W. Parish and Rebecca Brown Parish was born on September 6, 1975 at Martin Army Community Hospital in Ft. Benning, GA. He attended Rothschild Jr. High School and Carver High School. Brian worked at Hobbs Machine Shop as a mechanic until 2007. He then worked for Sunray Cleaners as an Assistant Manager. Brian was Lutheran by faith.
Brian enjoyed rebuilding cars, playing pool, skiing, swimming and sports, through his childhood and adolescent years he played football with Sally Little League of which his father was also a coach and baseball. His favorite past time was golf which he began playing at an early age with his father and uncles.
Survivors include his sister, Stephanie Parish of Columbus, GA, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Emily May Brown Scholarship Fund, c/o St. Johns Lutheran Church, 200 W. Innes Street, Salisbury, North Carolina 28144.
