Brenda Joyce Walker, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2024, at the age of 65 in Harvey, Louisiana.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 10, 2024 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Friday, February 09, 2024 at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, Georgia 31907. Interment will be held at County Line Cemetery.

Brenda was born on June 20, 1958, in Columbus, Georgia; Brenda's life was one of devotion to her family and the simple joys that each day brought. Her life was characterized by her unwavering commitment to her family. As a homemaker, she poured her heart into creating a warm and welcoming home for her loved ones. Her nurturing spirit and kind-heartedness were the cornerstones of the Walker family. Her passions extended beyond her home life. Brenda was an avid fisherwoman, finding solace and joy by the water. She was also a dedicated fan of the Atlanta Braves, cheering them on through every season with enthusiasm. Brenda's sharp mind was often put to the test as she enjoyed delving into crossword puzzles, a hobby that kept her intellect as vibrant as her spirited conversations. A true enthusiast of local culture, Brenda reveled in the festivities of Mardi Gras, embracing the vibrant energy and rich traditions of the celebration. Her passion for the event was infectious, and she was known to bring together family and friends to partake in the revelry, creating memories that would last a lifetime. Brenda's life was a tapestry of the relationships she cherished and the activities she loved. Her presence was a beacon of light and comfort to all who knew her.

She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her generous heart, and the laughter that often filled the rooms she graced. She is survived by her husband, John Walker Sr., Brenda's legacy continues through her children: Becky Apiag (married to Rico), John Walker Jr. (married to Jenny), and Clint Walker. Her brother, Bryan Wright (married to Cathy), stands as her only surviving sibling. Brenda's life was further enriched by her 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable happiness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Raymond Wright, her sister Linda Henderson, her brothers Billy Wayne and Raymond (Bubba), and her granddaughter Aireonna Francis Walker.
