Brenda Jean Hannah Joiner, 62, of Big Canoe, GA, formerly of Columbus, GA, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Embracing Hospice in Cumming, GA.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Crystal Valley Baptist Church 6200 Macon Road Columbus, GA 31907 with Reverend Earl Rawlings officiating. Visitation will be held after the service at the church. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel at Big Canoe at a date to be announced according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Brenda was born April 12, 1950, in Union Springs, AL, to John R. Hannah, Jr. and Evelyn Lucille Dunn Hannah. She graduated from Baker High School in 1968 and received a degree in English from Columbus College. Brenda was a very successful self-employed Agent for Genworth Long Term Care Insurance, and was employed for a number of years with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia. During her career with Genworth, Brenda was named one of the Top Twenty Five Salespersons numerous times. As a result, she and her husband, Larry, enjoyed many trips that took them around the world, most recently to Peru.
