Brenda L. Godwin, 56, of Salem, AL, died Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Midtown Medical Center.
The family will receive friends Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Ms. Godwin was born February 6, 1961 in Columbus, GA, daughter of the late Willie Andrew Godwin, Sr. and Katie Suggs Godwin. She was a truck driver for Joe Ryan for 23 years. Ms. Godwin had a contagious smile, was a jokester and loved her family, fishing and dancing.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Vicki Myers and Sandy Tillis.
Survivors include her sister, Barbara "Bobbie" Kelley (Eddie) of Phenix City, AL; brother, Andy Godwin (Angie) of Fortson, GA; numerous nieces and nephews and her favorite companions, Sophie and Cassie.
Flowers will be accepted, but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to Animal Ark, 7133 Sacerdote Lane, Columbus, GA 31907 or the Columbus Hospice House, 7020 Moon Road, Columbus, GA 31907.
