Brenda West Bass, 72, of Columbus, GA died Sunday, February 7, 2016 at her home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Dr. P. Shane Green officiating. Interment will be held 3:30 PM at Polk Memory Gardens in Cedartown, GA. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bass was born February 2, 1944 in Salem, NJ daughter of the late Bernard M. and Geraldine Griffin West. She retired after 15 years as a Special Enforcement Officer with the City of Columbus. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and loved gardening and decorating.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry West and granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Wright.
Survivors include her husband, Roy S. Bass, Jr. of Columbus, GA, children, Timothy Scott Wright (Candi) of Cedartown, GA, daughter, Christa Leigh Wright Baker (Jeff) of Phenix City, AL and Jeremy Brent Wright (Nancy) of Columbus, GA, sister, Sheila West Angel (Elbert) of Cave Spring, GA, brother, Danny Ralph West (Debbie) of Breman, GA, grandchildren, Tiffany Wright Payton, Brittany Wright Dooley, TJ Wright, Bre Baker, Cody Baker, Christopher Wright and Jack Wright.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to PAWS Humane 4900 Milgen Rd. Columbus, GA 31907.
