Bonnie Ruth Williams McKay, 93, of Columbus, GA, died Friday, October 12, 2018, at her residence.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 19, 2018, at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907, with Rev. Charles Hays officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. McKay was born October 16, 1924, in Esto, FL, daughter of the late Dewey Williams and Florine Blackburn Williams. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John H. McKay, four brothers and two sisters. She was a loving mother and grandmother who delighted in caring for her family, and was a woman of great faith in the Lord.
During her working career outside the home, she was employed as a bookkeeper and retired from the Columbus Country Club. She also served in many roles in churches which she attended.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia McKay of Hoschton, GA; three sons, John M. McKay (Janice) of Greensboro, NC, Daniel H. McKay of Columbus, GA, and Charles A. McKay (Barbara) of Cleveland, GA; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by two brothers, Paul Williams and Russell Williams.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Edgewood Assembly of God, 2020 Morris Rd. Columbus, GA 31907.
