Bobby "Jack" Shine, 87, of Columbus died Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Kindred Hospice.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 22, 2018 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The following will serve as Pallbearers, Alexander Caves, Batten Caves, Blake DeNamur, Addison Winkler, Ron Daniel and Eric Mullins with Honorary Pallbearers, Ronnie Daniel, Richard Williams, Mulford Waldrop, Bo Bryan, Jimmy Yancey, Tom Linear, Joe Green and Rick Ussery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Shine was born October 28, 1930 in Butler, Georgia son of the late Charles Brooks and Susie Bell Peterman Shine. For over 52 years, Mr. Shine was the owner of Neil's Furniture and Appliance. Furniture was his life; he also enjoyed traveling with his wife, spending time with his family and mud riding.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Diane Daniel.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Virginia Jo Shine of Columbus, Ga.; sons, William Phillip Worley (Deborah Jean) of Quincy, Fl. and Charles Wayne Worley of Ocala, Fl.; brother, Gene Shine of Columbus, Ga.; grandchildren, William Phillip Worley, Jr., Michael Paul Worley, Jill Leann Owens, Windy Mullins and Jacqueline Rehe and eight great-grandchildren.
