Bobby Joe Rollins, 94, of Columbus, GA passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at the Warm Springs Nursing Home, Warm Springs, GA.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, October 4, 2024 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Buddy Lamb and Rev. Dennis Hartman officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. A private interment will be held at a later date at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.

Bobby was born November 18, 1929 in Manchester, Georgia to the late Maggie Victoria Kersey and Henry Grady Rollins, Sr. He earned a Bachelor's Degree from Georgia State University, served in the U.S. Army and retired from the United States Postal Service. Bobby was the pianist at several churches, including Cataula Methodist, Bigham Chapel, and Ebenezer Baptist, for about 25 years. He also played for and sang with the Brotherhood Quartet at Macedonia Baptist Church in his younger years.

Other than his parents, Bobby is preceded in death by his siblings: H.G. Rollins, Jr, Ruth Rollins Mullis, and Eddie Rollins; his sisters-in-law, Martha Brown Rollins and Betty Dowdy Rollins, and his brother-in-law, Bernard Mullis; as well as his niece Pamela Rollins Lambert and nephew, Mike Underwood.

Bobby is survived by his nieces, Vickie Underwood of Manchester, GA, Sue Parsons (Bill) of Pensacola, FL, Melanie Baker (Cy) of Lilburn, GA, and Jeana Lackey (Jimmy) of Talbotton, GA; nephews, Bill Rollins (Shelby) of Warm Springs, GA, Greg Mullis of Union City, GA, Kevin Mullis (Jennie) of Woodland, GA, Jay Rollins (Marvin Snow) of Cordele, GA, and Jeff Rollins (Aaron Small) of Atlanta, GA. Bobby also leaves behind numerous great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
