Bobby J. Pridgen, 78, of Columbus, GA died Sunday, November 8, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Evangel Temple Assembly of God with Pastor Paul Thomas and Pastor Bud Rupel officiating. A private family interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Pridgen was born November 6, 1937 in Columbus, GA son of the late Osery W. Pridgen and Cleo Lolly Pridgen Ellis. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and owned Automatic Vending Service. Mr. Pridgen was also a member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Shane Pridgen, sister, Betty Maddox, and brother, Dennis Nelson.
Survivors include his loving wife, Beth Pridgen, sons, Greg Pridgen (Kelly) and Scott Pridgen (Holly), step-daughter, Lisa Gilmer (Mike), step-son, John Blue Smith (Haviland), sisters, Lois Hyde and Vickie Sanders (Clifford), brother, Jimmie Pridgen (Marge), eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
