Bobby G. Jessy, 83, of Columbus, GA died Friday, November 17, 2017 at Midtown Medical Center.
Graveside Services with Full Military Honors will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, November 27, 2017 at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery with Pastor Michael Burkes officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Jessy was born May 2, 1934 in Milford, IL, son of the late George Jessy and Virgie Cook Maxwell. He was a Soldier in the United States Army. Mr. Jessy loved his family and watching TV.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Mitchell Jessy and daughter, Bonnie Rendon.
Survivors include his daughter, Barbara Hataway of Columbus, GA; two grandchildren, April Edwards (Shane) of Phenix City, AL and Jenniffer Roberts of Columbus, GA; 7 great-grandchildren, Kalup, Devin, Dedrick, Junior, Nicholas, Maverick and Ember and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
