Bobby E. Brown, 81, of Columbus, GA died Sunday, June 16, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Donald E. Hutchens officiating. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Brown was born February 9, 1932 in Phenix City, AL son of the late Curtis Alton Brown and Maudeline Holt Brown. He retired from the Rothchild Company working in customer service and worked at Swift Textiles for 15 years. He was a Baptist by faith and was very active with the Columbus Jaycees for 20 years. He was involved with the Miss Georgia Pageant Association and was an avid Auburn fan.
Bobby loved his wife, children, and grandson - they were his life.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Deanne Coleman Brown of Columbus, GA, daughter, Lori Davis of Fortson, GA, sons, David Brown (Teresa) and Matt Citrin all of Columbus, GA, grandson, Brian Davis of Fortson, GA, and two special friends, Shirley Word and Amy Harrell.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to your charity of choice.
