BMC (Ret.) Dennis Craig Jantz, 61, of Columbus, GA, died Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Columbus Hospice House.
Graveside Services with Full Military Honors will be held 12:30 PM, Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery according to McMullen Funeral Home , 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. David Lix officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at the funeral home.
BMC (Ret.) Jantz was born June 9, 1952 in Enid, OK son of the late Alfred Otis Jantz and Sylvia Mae Gratner. BMC Jantz was a U. S. Navy veteran. He retired from the United States Post Office after 20 years in the maintenance department and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Jantz.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Benda K. Jantz of Columbus, GA; daughters, Heather Rourk (Nicholas) and Kelly Jantz; sister, Shelia Pettitt (Millard) of Sayre, OK; brothers, Darrell Jantz (Doris) of NRH, TX and David Jantz (Sharon) of Yukon, OK; grandchildren, Jeremy Gordon, Justin Jantz, Nathan Rourk, Austin Jantz-Warr; and one great-grandson, Luke Gordon.
