Blanche O. Davis, a longtime resident of Columbus, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 4, 2022 at the age of 98 years.

Her body is entrusted to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. Viewing will be held on Monday, February 7th from 10:00 AM - 5:00PM at the funeral home. A private interment will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Parkhill Cemetery.

Blanche was born on May 5, 1923 in Moultrie, Georgia to Ora and Pricilla Gaines.

Blanche married Louis A. Davis on April 3, 1942 in Atlanta, GA. From this union, two children were born; a daughter, Linda, and a son, Charles.

During her years of employment, she was employed in Civil Service working in Thailand and the U.S.  She also worked as the executive secretary at Fort Benning as well as an employee of the Columbus-Ledger Inquirer Newspaper.  She was an active member of the University Avenue Assembly of God Church.

She is predeceased by her mother and father, four brothers; Joe, Erskine, George and Vandiver and three sisters; Sara, Mary and Martha.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Davis Pharaoh and husband, Kent, of Henryetta, Oklahoma and a son, Charles M. Davis of Columbus. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Jeni Zimmer and husband, Matthew, of Kansas City, MO, Cheryl Riggs and husband, John, of Wichita Falls, TX and Brian Pharaoh and wife, Stephanie, of Hoschton, GA.  She is also survived by 7 greatgrandchildren, Christen Spencer, Madelyn Riggs, Carissa Nohrenberg, Wesston Riggs, Caleb Zimmer, Justin Riggs and Oliver Pharaoh.
