Blair Carson Burgess, 60, of Columbus, passed away at his home on Tuesday, July 18, 2017.
Memorial Services will be held 4:00 PM, Friday, July 28, 2017 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Blair was born July 8, 1957 in Anniston, Alabama. He was a 1976 graduate of E. B. Erwin High School near Birmingham, Alabama and worked as a concrete mix designer for Sherman Industries in Birmingham and The Concrete Company in Columbus.
Blair loved fishing, football, especially the Auburn Tigers, live music and spending time with friends.
He is survived by his brothers Michael Burgess (Mary) of Birmingham, Scott Burgess (Kellye) of Memphis, TN, and Alan Burgess (Heather) of Birmingham; and his sister Amy Quick (Christopher) of Atlanta.
He is preceded in death by his parents Carson and Peggy Burgess, and brother Lary Burgess of Birmingham.
