Billy Eugene Harrell, Sr., 77 of Phenix City died Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, January 27, 2012 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 613 14th St. Phenix City, AL with Rev. Vernon Prather officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family will have a private interment.
Mr. Harrell was born May 26, 1934 in Phenix City, AL son of the late Ada Samantha Martin Harrell and James "Boots" Harrell. He served in the Army National Guard and was a butcher for Colonial Grocery Store.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Daisy Nicholson.
Survivors include his sons, Alan Harrell (Tammy) of Phenix City, AL, Billy Harrell, Jr. of Sarasota, FL and Mike Harrell (Lisa) of Columbus, GA; brother, Jack Harrell of Atlanta, GA; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
