Bhanuprasad R. Patel

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bhanuprasad R. Patel, Sunday, August 11, 2024 who peacefully left us at his home in Phenix City, AL.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, August 16, 2024 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Born in Kenya in October 9, 1929, Bhanuprasad's journey took him from the vibrant landscapes of East Africa to the United Kingdom and eventually to the United States.

Bhanuprasad was the beloved owner and operator of The Short Stop for the past 20 years, where his dedication and hard work were well-recognized and appreciated. His daily contributions to the business and to his Family will be remembered daily.

As the eldest of twelve siblings, Bhanuprasad was a guiding figure in his family. He is survived by his loving children, Kanan and her husband Mukesh; Harshila ; and Kamlesh. His cherished grandchildren include, Seena, Payaal, Sidarth, Kunal, and Ashita, with grandsons-in-law Kaushal, Wayne and Andrew.  Bhanuprasad also leaves behind his great-grandchildren, Ria, Leher, and Saahil, who brought immense joy to his later years.

Bhanuprasad was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Lalita, daughter-in-law, Amita and son-in-law, Kiritkumar. He will also be missed by his surviving brothers and sisters, who shared many cherished memories with him.
