Beverly Bowers Gibson, 85, of Columbus, GA passed away on Friday, October 26, 2018.
A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Monday, November 5, 2018 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Robert McDaniel officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
Beverly was born February 9, 1933 in Phenix City, AL to the late Albert Modling and Ruby Clegg Dorsett. She was a talented dance instructor who loved to share her artistic passion with all. Beverly was known for her hospitality and as a generous and caring person who gladly helped anyone in need. Always full of humor, she never ceased to bring a smile to your face and a sense of joy to your heart.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband, William Gibson and a son, Michael Allen Bowers.
Survivors include her daughter, Melissa Bowers Holman (Johnny) of Fortson, GA, grandchildren, Michael Brent Bowers (Laura), Kennan Gay Ducey and Michael Ian Holman, and daughter-in-law, Lee Bowers Rollier (Pat) of Fortson, GA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
